About the role
As Travel Trade Manager UK & US, your primary focus will be on marketing Sweden to international tour operators, travel agents and DMCs. You will play a key role in increasing interest in Sweden as a tourism destination.
As part of Visit Sweden’s Travel Trade team, you will help shape and execute strategies and activities aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting Sweden within the global Travel Trade sector. Your role will combine both strategic and hands-on responsibilities – from planning and managing projects to developing content – always aligned with Visit Sweden’s overarching goals and vision.
You will work closely with colleagues across departments, particularly within Travel Trade, to ensure consistency and impact in our B2B communications.
Key responsibility
Strategic and operational work focused on the international tour operator and travel agent sector in the UK & US.
Building and developing strong business relationships and ensure effective communication with Travel Trade stakeholders.
Lead and support marketing efforts directed at the tour operator and travel agent sector.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement B2B communication strategies aligned with Visit Sweden’s broader objectives.
Coordinate and optimise marketing content across departments, including Travel Trade, PR, Web and Social Media, ensuring cohesive communication.
Monitor industry trends and developments in international B2B communication.
Actively contribute to the team’s strategic and operational work alongside the Head of Travel Trade.
Initiate, execute and follow up on projects and campaigns as part of the annual Travel Trade plan.
This role is based at Visit Sweden’s headquarters in central Stockholm or in our office in central London and reports to the Head of Travel Trade.
Candidate profile
We believe you have:
A relevant degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience within the international Travel Trade landscape, in the UK and/or US market, and you are used to monitoring, evaluating, and analysing activities in order to optimise communication across different channels.
Relevant experience in B2B marketing and communications within the travel and tourism industry.
Experience using digital and AI-powered tools to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, support collaboration, and enhance marketing and communication efforts.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Experience working in an international or cross-cultural context.
Fluency in English at a native level with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
It is also advantageous if you have:
Knowledge of the Swedish language
A solid understanding of Sweden’s tourism offering and industry landscape.
The ability to craft content tailored to specific audiences and platforms.
